TEDME Multilingualism

The languages in TEDME can be set on three levels

Account language

In the account settings, you can choose between German and English as the language. This allows you to control the language for the project admin - not the presentation of the lectures or events.

Project language

In the project settings, you can choose between German and English as the language. This allows you to set the default language for all your events.

Supplementary languages

In a single voting, presentation, event or survey questionnaire, you can store different languages that complement your project language. Your project administrator enters the translation for the individual terms. Your participants can then choose from all the languages provided.

Practical example

Account language

The project administrator speaks German and TEDME in German in order to be able to edit the presentations in their preferred language.

Project language

Most of the presentations at your event will be in English, so set the entire project to the standard language English.

Supplementary languages

For an international event, you also need French and Spanish as the language of a single session and set these as additional languages.

  • So everyone sees everything in the language that is easiest for them.
